The growth of the concrete masonry market depends heavily upon an adequate supply of trained masons, bricklayers, paver installers, and segmental retaining wall installers. NCMA serves as the liaison to industry organizations involved in worforce recruitment and trianing, these include:
Hire a Hero
Hire A Hero is a non-profit initiative founded by the Armed Forces Support Foundation. The Armed Forces Support Foundation helps to keep the promise that military service has value and that those who serve our country deserve more than just a "thank you" for serving our country. Hire A Hero brings together military job seekers and military friendly employers by utilizing web 2.0 networking features. Our technology facilitates service members re-introduction into the civilian world. Hire A Hero is a community for people who want to do more for the troops than put a yellow ribbon on their car. It allows people with a variety of backgrounds to participate in helping those with military experience find meaningful employment.

Mason Contractors Association of America (MCAA)
Vocational and technical programs are a cornerstone of American business and a very important part of many youths' career tracks. We at the Mason Contractors Association of America understand that the hands-on experience gained through participation in vocational programs is the best way to promote our industry's development. To address our industry's workforce growth needs, the Mason Contractors Association of America launched a new website in October 2004, the Masonry Career Training database. This site contains a directory of masonry training and apprenticeship programs from across the country available for interested students to begin their careers. As of today, we have over 100 registered programs listed on the site, and we add more everyday. This website is the industry's only comprehensive resource for training programs.
