- After a courageous three year battle with cancer Charles "Chuck" Finch passed away on, February 10, 2010 at home surrounded by Family. He was born on April 12, 1931 in Los Angeles to Hermina and Pearl Finch. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Rachel Finch, a daughter Karen Patty, (Harold), son Steven Finch,(Laura), seven grandchildren, a sister Margaret Bonilla, brother Richard Finch and many nieces and nephews. He served as a Marine in the Korean War and was the first employee at RCP Block & Brick, Inc. founded by his brother Marvin Finch and later became Vice President of Operations and one of the owners of the company when it merged with La Mesa Block in 1966. He and Rachel enjoyed many years of traveling in their motor home, golf with good buddies and he was particularly proud of his 1932 Ford Coupe show car.
