Architecture Student Design Competition Guidelines and Templates

There Are Resources Available!  The NCMA Education and Research Foundation is committed to supporting education of college and university architecture students and is making available resources, in the form of grants from the foundation, to create educational opportunities for these developing design professionals.

It's Easy to Apply for a Grant! One type of program strongly encouraged by the Foundation is an architecture student concrete masonry design competition.  To make it easy for you to apply for a grant for and organize a competition, the Foundation has developed a Grant Application template and a Competition Guidelines template.

Here's How:  The grant application template should be used for all applications for Foundation grants for student design competitions.  Please keep in mind that the templates are intended to be user-friendly and flexible.  You may simply fill in the blanks and use the templates as-is; you are also welcome to modify or expand upon them to suit the objectives of your competition.

Who Should Submit the Applications?  Student design competition grant applications should be submitted by the college or university professor who will be primarily responsible for the implementation of the competition (the Organizing Professor).  To ensure that local industry resources (speakers, facilities, plant tours, materials, and expertise) will be available to support the competition, the grant application must be endorsed, either by the local NCMA State and Province Alliance association or by a local NCMA Producer Member company.  Please let us know if you would like our help arranging the support of a state or province association or NCMA Producer Member.
