Structural Masonry Seminars
NCMA (along with our partners) co-sponsor the following software related seminars:
Load-bearing Masonry and Hybrid Masonry/Steel Software Seminars
Don't miss the exciting, national seminar series on the new concept of "hybrid" masonry/steel design featuring load-sharing reinforced masonry infill in a structural steel frame. The IMI, NCMA, Ryan Biggs Associates and Bentley Systems have teamed up to develop a new, innovative structural software program to efficiently perform a whole building analysis of both load bearing masonry buildings and the new "hybrid" structure concept. The software uses a whole building approach - not just the analysis of individual components. Learn how this approach leads to easier and faster engineering design of masonry buildings including irregular configurations, wall openings, multi-story structures and structural infill panels in structural steel frames and more.
Structural Masonry Design System (Ver 4.1) Seminars
This intensive half-day course will help you: LEARN the design software’s analysis capability, including exploration of all required loading combinations, and design for the most critical case. EXPLORE & COMPARE different design codes (including IBC 2006 & MSJC 2005), strength design and allowable stress designs. MAKE design decisions using a wealth of graphically displayed information. DESIGN masonry walls & lintels more accurately and give your clients more economical designs. REDUCE design time and potential for error. UNDERSTAND un-reinforced & reinforced masonry, shear walls, columns, design of reinforced concrete or masonry lintels, and valuable design fundamentals.
